We've heard it before, but this past weekend, it's been a mad statement to the power of the wind and waves.....Texas and the world "welcomed" (was there a choice??) Hurricane IKE...We have all been watching, waiting, and praying this monster storm does not cause the devastation predicted.

And what to do when massive waves of water head for shore? Board up, pack up, and move out--better grab your own water bottles--for Ike is not fit to drink, for sure!

I DO know Water that IS fit to drink, and it's the Water of His Living Word. In times of sadness, gladness, madness - including the aftermath of Ike and the trail he leaves behind - AND whatever else may be going on in our daily stress-filled lives - we can RUN to God's Word. We can find HIS Living Water, satisfying to the soul, always fit to drink, and always available in whatever crisis we face.

In a personal crisis today - with storm water everywhere, and not a drop to drink??? - or picking up the pieces in the aftermath of the storm??? Run to the Living Water.....drink from the ever-flowing wells of His Word - HE sits King of the flood whatever it may be in your life today!!

.....and back now to the Texas coast: may God be with you as you face - and clean up - the fury of this fierce storm. Lots of people are praying for you right now!
