A Hurting Word...
Hurting? Not for long, if you attend Central Assembly of God, Springfield, Missouri, the church I proudly call home! Not if you know MY pastor--and that's who you are about to meet. He's tall, dark, and handsome--that's nice, but not IMPORTANT! He's got a deep, beautiful speaking and singing voice--that's nice too, but not IMPORTANT!
For you see--what's IMPORTANT goes far deeper than that. He's....well, how do you describe someone whose face lights with joy as he leads a soul to the altar; whose eyes fill with tears as he loves people into the kingdom of God; whose heart is always ready to listen to your joys, sorrows and pain; whose arms are always ready to hug a little kid, or embrace a senior citizen?
Forget the good looks, the grand voice, and the great personality--he loves God; he teaches us to love God; he loves people; he teaches us to love people--I proudly introduce to you my pastor and my friend, Dr. David Watson!
