It's been computer-crazy-week at Peggie's Place--can YOU relate to the woes of our wonderful technological world? Whether we look out of Bill Gates' WINDOWS or munch on a MACINTOSH Apple, we each have our own tall tales to tell, I'm sure! When it works, we wonder how we ever did without it; when it doesn't, we wonder which window we can throw it through!

Well, I've survived admirably, and even have a devotional and a new web page to share with you! Let's relax and refresh ourselves at the Well--the Lord knows our "downsittings and our uprisings" and is waiting to encourage us all! AND, by the way, there's no computer at the Well to crash...only the "refreshing" Water of His Word!

A Helping Word...or Two!

Bytes from Below!

Ever have a nasty, little "dig" from the enemy of your soul? It's a part of life Christians all experience--crashes WILL happen! And when they do, note how he attacks in the loveliest of places--the church, the home, the workplace (on its better days!), not to mention our body, soul, spirit, and mind, all targets for enemy bytes. Minor hurts and incidents can pile up in the "cache" of our lives until we crash. We're depressed, discouraged, and defeated--and undeniably angry, whether we admit it or not--and then, look out, world!

There's a cure for the crashes! SOMETIMES it's just a re-boot--a break, a getaway, a time to rest our weary souls and bodies. We're energized with new spiritual power to cope and throw off the darts of the wicked one. But ALWAYS, it's the Word of God, spiritual bytes of power-filled verses of Scripture which give us courage and strength to endure. Let the LORD turn the devil bytes into Divine bytes--know that He has marvelous ways and a mighty Word to counteract every evil the enemy sends your way. There's help for the crashes of life--it's found in our wonderful Lord and His powerful Word. Rely on Him today--He will rebuild the desktop of your life and you WILL survive to bless HIS Name!

Blessings from Above!

Ever feel so blessed you could hardly contain it? It's the GOOD part of life we all experience, the mountaintop experiences when the Lord is so real and precious to our hearts. Hang on to those blessing times--they are purposely planned by God to give you strength as you leave the mountain and head towards the valleys and tunnels ahead. As someone has said, "Always remember in the dark what God has told you in the light."

There's a cure for the crashes on their way! (A pleasant thought, for sure...smile...but you may as well be prepared!) Cherish the close presence and promises of Christ, and then remember, when you DON'T feel it later on, HE is still there. The hard times of life make us strong, for in a remarkable way, God uses them to bring development and growth in our Christian lives. The burdens become blessings when we allow God to use them to make us into His image. So if your blessing is a bit disguised, don't give up--just know that HE knows what He is accomplishing in your life--He will rebuild the desktop of your life,and you WILL survive to bless His Name!

Ever feel so overloaded with work you can hardly stand it? This week has been a winner for me.--the workload and the DOWNload of the entire week. But all's well that ends well--I'm missing part of my mail program, I accidentally trashed one of my browsers, and some important preferences...I've still got laundry to be folded, and a tummy to be fed, but I am BLESSED....ever have a brainstorm you believe came from the Lord? This one did...for I have had over a hundred links waiting to be added to Peggie's Place, sitting on a back burner, and no way to adequately tackle them, except a BYTE at a time (that, by the way, is how you eat an elephant, a byte at a time...grin)....

The brainstorm came in the birthing of a new page at Peggie's Place, a place to put my great new links, all at once, in an easily-accessible spot...relief for THIS webmaster, and rejoicing, I'm sure, for the patient people waiting for their links to be added! The new page? It's Bytes 'n Blessings for Surfing Christians, and before you surf on over to see it, just bless the Lord with me for His creative genius of an idea! I'm saved a lot of work, I'm pretty proud of myself (I think I deserve a "little" credit for it...grin), and a new page is now on for a lot of surfing Christians to enjoy! As my pastor would say, "Isn't God GOOD!"
