"First Things First!"

Asking the children in my Sunday School class, "If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale and gave all my money to the church, would I get into Heaven?" "NO!" the children all answered.
"If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the yard, and kept everything neat and tidy, would I get into heaven?" Again, the answer was "NO!"
"Well," I continued, "then how can I get to heaven?"
In the back of the room, a 5-year-old boy shouted out, "You gotta be dead!"

"He Is There!"
Sometimes you feel like no one understands or knows how you feel,
Even though your faith is still present, your pain is also very real.

There are times you question because you simply cannot understand,
But you have to reassure yourself God holds you in His hand.

He loves you and He paid a great price to have you as His own,
No greater sacrafice or love for you has ever been shown.

No matter what you go through or what you may have to face,
You'll never find a more faithful friend than our friend Grace.

Surely, goodness, and mercy shall follow you all of your days,
And God the Father will direct you in all of your ways.

So remember He knows your heart and He see's your tears,
and through Him you have strength to overcome all of your fears.

So just keep your head up high and know that He is your friend,
Not only in the good times, but until the very end.
