The world watched with horror, sadness and tears as seven astronaut heroes perished in the Columbia Space Shuttle tragedy on Saturday, February 1, 2003. As NASA asks "why" and looks for ways to "fix it," so do we try to "fix the hurt" in our own hearts. In the depths of the soul, we ask "Why?" and wait for an answer. The psalmist David did too - and so we are in good company. Let us not fault ourselves for the questions, but dig deep into His Word for the answers--trusting where we do not understand.May America--and our world--draw close to God during this monumental tragedy. Let us uphold daily in prayer those family and friends grieving beyond measure this day.

A Time of Grief as We Mourn Our Heroes in the Columbia Shuttle Tragedy"And they who know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou, Lord, has not forsaken those who seek thee (Psalm 9:10 KJV)."
Columbia Memorial FLASH presentation
***********************************************************************************
Just hours after Space Shuttle Columbia broke apart, my daughter, Gayle Reynolds found something on her 11-year-old daughter Bethany's computer. It was an Instant Message she had typed. When Gayle asked Bethany if she had written it - or copied it from somewhere - Bethany asked "Did I do something wrong." My daughter quickly told her that she had nothing wrong, but had done something very right. So, as a proud grandfather, Bill Rayborn, webmaster of Bills-Punch-Line, says, "Please let me share with you what was written by Bethany Reynolds, age 11, exactly as she wrote it." (The only changes made were in the setting it in paragraphs.)
We need to pray for the people in the Space Shuttle...
At exactly 8:00 the USA Space Shuttle blew up in the sky...
We have witnessed world wide history...
4 of 7 people on the shuttle were new astronauts and had never been on a shuttle...
People say it will never come back...
But with faith in God I believe they'll be OK...
Everyone says they won't survive...
But I know the believers will...
But you have to ask yourself...
What would you do if that was you...
Would you take His hand and walk with Him..v Or choose to deny Him...
One...last...time...
I know for sure I would take His hand and spend eternity with Him in heaven.
Written by Bethany Reynolds, age 11, as reported by a proud grandpa, Bill Rayborn.

Please note that while I strongly adhere to major tenets of the evangelical Christian faith, I may not personally agree with every specific doctrinal belief set forth in other Christian pages. I do want to provide a diversity of links and resource material for the entire Body of Christ to enjoy, and trust you will view it as such.
A safety tip: Internet links and material may include other links and/or material which do not reflect my Christian views or yours. Please choose wisely and use with discretion!
