I should have known it when Baby Jason kicked out the first slat of his crib.....or when Toddler Jason brought the water sprinkler into the family room and turned it on full force (See "The Flood and the Fury") ......and especially when Grandma, age 80, protested, "Peg, I can watch one of these boys at a time, but not both - they are RASCALS!" The term "rascal" especially became an appropriate descriptive term for this ever-challenging, ever-mischievous child named Jason.

On October 22, 1984, "the rascal" officially joined the family, welcomed with delight by Big Brother, now Dr. Joey, a mathematician with the USA government in the DC area. The Bohanon home became a wild and wacky zoo as two cute little boys grew up together with many memorable moments--and as Mom and Dad often "climbed the walls and prayed for grace!" (See the Bohanon Brain Center for a fun Joey-n-Jason page at Peggie's Place!)

We've watched Jason mature into a God-fearing young adult, ready to face a new life adventure with confidence in a loving Father Who's guided him from the start. We wait with baited breath to see what phenomenal plan He has for this gifted young man....OK, can a Mama brag just a bit? God has been so good! (Enjoy his 3-D graphics and his outlandish pranks, along with more life stories: "God Loves His Kids" and "Left-handed Kid...Right-handed Lord!.)

And now it's time for Baby Bird (won't he love that identity!) to leave the nest and relocate to Northern California. We believe a bright future awaits him with God's open doors. It's all in God's perfect plan from the moment He told Mama, two years before his birth, "It's Done!"

I've learned alot in these 26 years of bird-feeding/raising such a whipper-snapper as Jason Bohanon. God not only LOVES rascals, He delights to USE them - you'd better believe it!

Dr. Joseph Bohanon is a retired professor of organic chemistry--46 years of faithful service at Evangel University. Dr. Joey is the East Coast bachelor brain, mathematician for the USA Government, active in Teen Bible Quiz leadership and amateur astronomer. Peggie is the creator/writer of Peggie's Place and lover of chocolate. Then there's Jason.....what can we say that's not already been said!! We're a wild, wacky family who love each other (most days) and love the Lord always!

Meet my Grandpa - Rev. ALFRED Coletti, after whom I am named (Jason Alfred Bohanon). I've got his name - and I've got his HAT......a cherished memory symbol of my awesome heritage. Grandpa was an amazing man of God and I want to be a man of God just like him!
