If God can turn ON the heat in Moldova (see yesterday's devotional), then God can turn OFF the heat in Texas! And He did! Another true story--this one emailed me by a Daily Bible Booster reader. A church group planned to go to Texas in mid-July to hold a revival. The temp was 120 degrees, blistering hot--and how they prayed! God heard and answered--with a cool front that moved in right before they got there. The temp never rose above 100--and you can believe there were some pretty "cool" people in Texas praising God that week!

Maybe you're in a "hot 'n heavy" battle with the enemy of your soul and you're about to give up--or give in. Don't! God's still on the Throne--if He can control the heat of the universe, at His command, then He can control--and conquer--whatever's going on in your life right now! The battle is the Lord's--He's already won it on Calvary. Satan is defeated and no matter how hot he makes it for you, God's right beside you to bring you deliverance and victory. Some day the heat will be turned UP on the devil eternally--so take courage. God is FOR you--and you WIN! Now go forth in the Name of the Lord and have a great day!
