Down the Path to the Well--a thought to remember along the way

Add one Power Mac to one powerful cable modem and you've got me--and millions like me--connected to an amazing world called the Internet. E-mail flies into my office from around the world; Web pages find their way into my browser worldwide--it's phenomenal power unseen but at my fingertips for my use night and day.

Power to surf the world is exciting, but there's another Power we celebrate this coming Sunday which places all earthly powers way beneath His feet. It's Pentecost Sunday, and we pause to honor the Third Person of the Trinity who comforts us, walks beside us, lives within us, moves upon us and gives us the power to be witnesses of the grace of God around the world!

There's a world within me where that power's working today--drawing me to Christ, bringing me comfort in need and developing a "right spirit" within me. He's working in the world around me too as I see His hand in the lives of family and friends. And His power doesn't stop there--it works around the world to enlighten hearts and minds, to bring people to the Savior, and wonder of wonders, to work through me--and you--to accomplish God's purposes in our world.

We honor the Holy Spirit this day--and every day--as we thank God for His awesome presence and power in our lives, in our families and in our world. May His power move into areas of need in your life and may you know the blessed Holy Spirit's presence to be your abiding source of strength, comfort and power this day in YOUR world and the world around you. He's an awesome "World Power" and He's WITH you--believe it and have a blessed day!

Delight in a Word from the Well--a refreshing in the Water of His Word

"But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8)."

Draw from the Well--a prayer for renewing strength for this day

"Lord, Your power in my life is unmistakable. I cannot SEE Your Holy Spirit in visible presence, yet I KNOW He resides within me. It's His power that draws me to You, that convicts me when I transgress, that comforts me in distress--that reaches out through me to touch my world for You. May Your Holy Spirit never stop working in my life--and in my world! I need Your awesome power this day and every day. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
