We ordered our fast-food Sunday breakfast and grabbed a table. And then I saw her. A "designer kid," high-chair model, sitting next to us--an adorable Afro-American 2-year-old, complete with tiny pigtails, trendy outfit--and a standing-tall mom and dad. "What a doll!" I exclaimed to the proud parents--and then, from the corner of my eye, I watched. I saw a Mom patiently serve and train her little treasure, caring and loving that little daughter through a special meal at MacD's. Obviously this was no ordinary kid--this was a "designer kid," very special to her proud parents and rightly so.

Well, let it be known to the world that YOU are a "designer kid," known and loved by a Heavenly Father who cares and watches over you today. Long ago you were "fearfully and wonderfully made" before you ever saw the light of day. He loves and cherishes you; He trains and prepares you; He cares for you. And He's got a special plan and place in His world for you--you're His "designer kid!" He "stands tall" as He watches you, by His grace, serve Him and survive the stresses of life. He's proud of you--when you win and when you lose--for you're HIS kid and you're going to make it! Believe it--and you will have a great day!

"Lord, thank You for loving me so uniquely. Help me understand that I am special to You--I can rest in the confidence that You are caring for me this day--and every day. I'm Your "designer kid" and that's all I need to know. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
