Love Bugs That Byte!
I remember when the love bug bit me....THAT was nice! The bug that BYTED us all this week was NOT nice...it was nasty! People thought they were getting a delightful love letter...what they got was a disastrous disease running rampant around the world. Not the kind of TLC we want for the love byte of our life, that complicated gadget we call a computer. For some of us who work and live on the computer night and day, it's become an extension of our bodies--a mighty, mischevious, marvelous mouse that won't let go! Some crazy people (me included...guilty grin!) have been known on occasion to get up in the middle of the night to check their e-mails--our Web world is a wacky, but wonderful one of real delight, most of the time!
Well, this was a nightmare, for sure...and I hope if you got hit and bit by it, you've been able to straighten it all out and still retain your good senses--and sense of humor! It would also help to have a sense of awareness that there's another "bugger" out there, with no love in mind, waiting to mess up your walk with the Lord, to sneak in disguise into the files of your life--alter, erase, delete, destroy them--and do nothing but harm. And he'd easily win too--except for heaven's mighty technical staff, on hand, night and day, ready to hear your cry for help, come to your aid, and destroy the powers of darkness that come against you.
Remember, there's no bug that can "byte" or bother you that HE has not already conquered through the power of the Blood and the Cross. You're safe in His care and keeping--believe it and have a wonderful bug-free day!

"Lord, the bug that "byted" our world last week is nothing compared to the one that's after me in real life. In my own strength I cannot fight and win; in your strength I am more than a conqueror. Help me to know that in the deepest deep of my heart this week. I am a victor, not a victim--through Your Blood and by Your Name. In Jesus Name, Amen."
