Thanksgiving at Peggie's Place . . . "Don't Let the Grinch Steal Thanksgiving!"
God's got a sense of humor! Ever watch the stomping elephant with floppy ears and swinging trunk? How about the squeaky mouse, the striped zebra, the scratching gorilla? And listen to that rousing red-combed rooster with the funny wake-up call! Listen hard--and wake up, for THAT's the subject of our Booster today!You see, I've got friends with a phunny sense of humor too! One of them suggested a wonderful title for this new devo--would you believe "Rooster Daily Booster"? A bit on the strange side--but it does get your attention this early in the morning. The rooster got PETER'S attention in the Bible, for sure. Its wake-up call reminded him that he'd denied his Lord--there was no humor that day. There were tears of remorse and regret, feelings of failure and pain. But the God who made the rooster also made Peter--and loved Him. He forgave him, renewed him and restored him to fellowship.
And that's what our God is all about--He's in the business of restoring and renewing people--REAL people--and He wants to restore and renew you today. Whether that rooster is calling to remind you that you failed Him--or that you just forgot Him, listen--listen HARD. For He loves you--He hurts with you, and He wants to make you whole--this day! Believe it, wake up--and have a great day!
