Down the Path to the Well--a thought to remember along the way
Be Stressed or Be Still...a Matter of Choice!
Choices...there's the major ones--education, career, marriage, family--and there's the minor ones--hobbies, hairstyle, Haagen-Daaz...Hawaii! All things to do, do, do (or dream, drool, dream!), and we run, run, run...until the next mile's run is to the medical office of a doctor, an allergist, a psychologist...so what to do?
Two choices...we can be stressed and know that we will someday crash...or we can be still and know that He is God! Being stressed is easy...being still is NEVER easy, not in THIS busy, dizzy world, whether you're in the home, the workplace, the church, the school, or out in the middle of a big green field! For stress--OR stillness--is an inner state and no matter where we are, we'll not have the inner peace we need until we wholly know HIM!
And IN Him is stillness...abiding in Him is rest...sitting at His feet is peace...drinking in His Word is life. His presence makes all the difference--whether we live in turmoil or in trust. We make a conscious choice, deep in our inner man (or woman!) not to be stressed, but to be still. That's my choice for today...how about you!
