We could call it a "zoo" - it sure turned into one - but actually, it was a beautiful Christian "park," a perfect place for a Christian wedding, of course. What they hadn't counted on was Mister Swan...Mister SWINGING Swan! This hilarious--and horrendous--story really happened at a wedding day for friends I know. You won't believe it!
Seems like the lovely swan was REALLY a lowly swan "with an attitude" and for some unknown reason, did not like the mother of the bride. He chased her, attacked her with his beak and swinging wing, broke a couple ribs, and had to be held hostage until the festivities were over--but not until the mother of the bride grabbed him by the neck and threw him back in the lake. I guess you had to BE there--but can't you see it all now! Someday they will laugh!
Fortunately, there was a doctor in the wedding party who took charge, bandaged the mother of the bride, told her to take the day off...and the wedding went on. Now of course, Mom was not about to take the day off--she took some Tylenol and somehow survived the rest of the day. As far as I know, as of this date, the daughter has settled down to married life, Mom is alive and well--and watching out for any swans "with an attitude" heading her way!
You may never have a swan swing at you....but there's a lion out there roaring and ready to attack--if you'll let him. The habitat where YOU live is not danger-free; there's a devil walking around "seeking whom he may devour"--yes, even in the Christian world where you live, work, worship--and wed! He's got "an attitude" too--he fiercely hates the people of God and is on the prowl--so look out! He'll tear up your family, your marriage, your church, your job--whatever he can attack. He's out to get you--and he's mean!
Is that old roaring lion hanging around YOUR habitat this day? Resist him in the name of the Lord--and he MUST flee...and GOOD NEWS! Someday, he'll be held hostage too--just like the swan--except FOREVER--in the hands of the Lord who will hold the key, the key to hell where he belongs.....The Bride of Christ will be home free! Now believe it--stay away from swinging swans and roaring lambs--i mean LIONS--and you will have a wonderful day!
