I woke up fitfully one morning from the craziest dream--thanks to my computer brain that registers tiny tidbits from the past and present, mixes them up, and makes them into one wild, wacky dream! I was looking for bread I had purchased and lost...never found it, of course, and woke up rather frustrated. I like to FIND what I look for!
Then there are the nightmares--someone is chasing you, someone's pulled a gun on you--you paralyze with fear and your own voice wakes you up--as you are trying, in your paralyzed state, to yell, "JESUS!" That ever happen to you? Weird, wild dreams...we all have them--some are funny, some are filled with terror, some are from the pit...we wake up and are glad to get back to reality!
Dreams happened in the Bible too. God used dreams to warn people, to impart His wisdom and plans--and to implant within hearts a word from HIS heart. Happened to Joseph...the poor guy, in an untactful moment, revealed his dream to his brothers...it turned into a nightmare, he landed in a pit, sold as a slave, confined to a prison....and then, in God's time and way, the dream came to pass as God said. He found himself living the dream, and in reality saving the lives of his family and many other families in the midst of famine.
God may have placed within your heart a dream--for something very personal--or something very profound. Hold ON to that dream...don't let the enemy turn it into a nightmare...if God has promised it, it WILL come to pass. You can count on it....just be sure its source is not too much pizza or pie the night before! What HE places deep within our hearts WILL come to pass.
There's no limit to the dreams HE can give AND grant. Now believe it....hold on to that dream...and if anyone finds the bread I lost in that dream, please let me know! Grin...go have a good day in the delight of the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart!
