Now pay attention, or you are going to get completely mixed up (and that's the idea...grin). You see, I am playing a terrible April Fool's joke on you as we (in the USA) really get ready to turn our clocks AHEAD one hour, NOT BACK! At least, I've got your attention--reminds me of a very funny family-time devotion many years ago. It was the day before changing the clocks back or ahead one hour, and my little Aunt Lucy was visiting...

Now dear little Aunt Lucy was about 4'9" short, a darling, sweet, spiritual, Italian saint who could make wonderful pizza and pasta fagoli--and she could pray even better! BUT she--AND my mom--could get VERY mixed up! Well, when it came a turn for one of them to pray, we heard, "Lord, please help the people to remember to put their clocks ahead so they won't be late for church"--then the pray-er stopped praying, turned to the family and asked, "--Or will they be EARLY?" You can believe that broke up the "prayer meeting" but good--we laughed and laughed--it was hard to get back to serious praying--but I'm sure God enjoyed it too!

This really is the Sunday when most of the USA turn their clocks AHEAD...fall and winter are REALLY behind us...or are they? Have you placed the past IN THE PAST--forgetting the bad stuff, cherishing the good stuff--and going on into spring with the joy of the Lord? DON'T FALL BACK--pick up those fall leaves still hanging around the yard--bag them--and bring them to the Cross...all the faults and failures of yesterday! Leave them there--then SPRING FORWARD to the GOOD things God has in store for you.

God promises that He will be faithful to His people and His Word--and THAT'S no April Fool's joke! You CAN believe it...you CAN "spring forward" with joy and anticipation for the wonderful plans God's got waiting--just for you! Now believe it--have a FUN April Fool's Day (see the link below)--put those clocks FORWARD one hour on SUNDAY--and have a great weekend!
