My son's a juggler...it's amazing how he can entertain you with his expert juggling of several balls at a time...but of course, he's an amazing son...grin.. .now if he'd just clean his room and amaze his mom!
I'm a juggler too..it's amazing how I can entertain myself with my expert juggling of "love, life and the laundry" (see link below)! Now believe me, there are days when this juggler isn't very jolly and just doesn't do very well...how DO you do all the laundry, the letter-answering, the links, the lesson-applying devotionals, the real LIFE stuff, not to mention transportation, tasty meals, and time to apply make-up (!!)...and need I include the necessities such as WORK, WALKING, WORSHIP and WONDER when I can hug my husband!!
YOU are a juggler too...for in the same, but different way, you've got responsibilities and a daily list to tackle--at home, church, the workplace, the school--and anywhere else that may or may not appear on anyone ELSE'S list. We live harried, heavily-scheduled, hassle-filled lives...and juggling becomes a necessary art in the art of necessary living!
We've got to live it with grace, love it with heart, learn it through hard knocks, and laugh through its mishaps, mismanagements and mad-mama/papa moments! BUT--just HOW in the world do you do THAT and be JOLLY besides--when there's not a laugh in sight--let alone a SONG!!??
ONLY with God's help! He promises to be with us in the midst of life with all its responsibilities, problems and challenges. He promises "JOY for the journey," "songs in the night," GRACE enough for just ONE day...then more GRACE for the next. He walks (or runs!) along side of us, behind us and ahead of us each day, giving strength, courage, wisdom and whatever else we need--AND He doesn't even NEED to look at our list--He knows it all already!)
BUT--just like the jolly juggler, we've got to reach up and grab the ball--focus our attention on one ball at a time, find the source of all strength in Christ, fret not when we fail--and the joy will come. "Weeping may endure for the night"--or a day filled with necessities of life--but "JOY comes in the morning!" You can believe it and achieve it--wherever on Planet Earth you juggle your worlds of work, worship--AND "wonder how in the world I can do it!" You CAN do it with God's help! Now go juggle your day, depending on HIM and you will have a jolly good day!
