God Never Naps!

Down the Path to the Well--a thought to remember along the way

You're not gonna believe this--but today is "National Workplace Napping Day!" Now before you shut off your computer and take your nap, I have a word for you: "God Never Naps!"

Oops...we forget that one, and so we lie awake worrying about our past, our present and our future. We may walk the floor, *try* to pray, eat, watch TV and check our email, but nothing helps. Of course not! It's 'cause we forgot to REALLY give it to God.

Now I have a choice. I can be a snoozer or a loser. I can totally give it to God and get a good night's sleep or leave it in my own hands and lose a good night's sleep! I choose to SNOOZE, how about you! Go to sleep--He will be glad to stay awake and "worry about it" FOR you....Now, can you imagine GOD worrying? And if HE doesn't, why should we!! Believe it, have a good day--and a VERY good night's sleep (uh....that's tonight, NOT on the job!!)

Delight in a Word from the Well--a refreshing in the Water of His Word

Toss out the sleeping pills!
Take these three Scriptures--and enjoy a good night's sleep!

"...he who keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he who keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4)."

"It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so he giveth his beloved sleep (Psalm 127:3)."

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4: 6,7)."

Draw from the Well--a prayer for renewing strength for this day

"Lord, I've spent too many nights wide awake with worries, fears, anxieties--all the problems I should just simply give to You. You are bigger than all the problems; You can handle it WHILE I sleep. Thanks for your 24-hour care for me; thanks for NEVER napping--so that I CAN! In Jesus Name, Amen."
