If you're a parent, you know well the aches and pains, the falls and bruises of childhood--you've "been there/done that" a million times with the Band-Aids, the lotions, the medication, the messes. The trauma of a child's hurting wound can become the center focus around which all of family life revolves for that moment in time!
Well, there's another Parent hurting now--as our loving Heavenly Father looks down upon His world and weeps over His children, torn apart, bleeding, hurting--needing desperate help. We know not the answers to our world crisis--but we DO have a Heavenly Father to whom we can run. He knows how to calm our fears and bind up the hurts and heaviness we feel. He knows how to bring together "one nation under God." And in these moments of national and world turmoil, we return to "In God We Trust" and implore His divine help and wisdom to heal our world.
Whatever your position on war, we're in trouble! Join with me and other Christians around the world in earnest prayer for America, for its foes and for our world. May the Father Himself wrap His arms of love around His hurting, wayward and frightened child--the nation we love. May He bind the wounds, heal the hurts, lift the heaviness and hold us close in His strong, unfailing arms. May He heal our land, guide our leaders, bring peace--and have mercy on our world!
Does your own personal plot of land--your home, your family, your life--need His healing touch today? Just like a loving parent, He is "touched with the feelings of our infirmities." He takes good care of His children. He knows how to bring help and healing to YOUR world today--and He will. Believe it, and have a good day!
