"Been there/done that" - "What's the bottom line?" - and a golden oldie, "Where's the Beef?" remind us that certain phrases "fad" in and out in our every day conversation. The latest one I've heard is "if you will." For example, "A storm is on its way--a thunderstorm, IF YOU WILL!" or "She is rather old--a senior citizen, IF YOU WILL!"
Well, God is certainly not concerned about our language "fads" but He's been saying "if you will" for a LONG time! God's promises are always preceded by a condition...if YOU will, then I will...and HE does--when we meet the conditions!
Our world is in a terrible mess - our leaders have used the best language skills our universities have taught; they've signed treaty after treaty, agreement after agreement--and history relates how many have been broken. But I know a Leader, a King who sits upon a throne, who does NOT break His promises...He says, "If YOU will...I will" and He means it. He's signed the "peace treaty" with His own precious blood. Meet the conditions He's laid down and you'll see His wonder-working power!
Believe it, IF YOU WILL, and have a wonderful day!

"If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14)."
