Thanksgiving at Peggie's Place . . . "Don't Let the Grinch Steal Thanksgiving!"
All sorts of strange creatures seem to crop up in these devotionals--an elephant stomped around the place a couple of weeks ago for the Republicans, and today, it's a donkey doing his thing for the Democrats! Any more political party animals and we'll have a full-fledged ZOO! Glad I don't have to feed, keep and clean up after a menagerie around here--two teens are enough...grin!Back to the subject...For if the title's not grabbed your attention by now, GOD will! You see, He can find incredible ways to grab our attention, especially when we're out of His perfect will! Balaam WAS--read the very off-beat Balaam story later (see link below)--but suffice it to say that a prophet of God, out of God's perfect Will, is in big trouble! God used a donkey to speak to Balaam--AND teach him a lesson. Is there a lesson here for us too? You better believe it, for...
If God can make a donkey talk... He's a God of the impossible, the improbable and the imperceptible--He's bigger than us, and He knows HOW to get His message across! So--don't ever say, "He can't do it, He can't use me, and He can't speak"--ask Baalam, ask the donkey--believe for the impossible, the improbable and the imperceptible; obey His Will, whatever it is--and have a wonderful day!He can do anything!
He can use anyone!
