"A Cross AND a Crown!"
Daily Manna's Bible reading: Colossians 1:15-20 (NIV)
Each Easter season we remember our Savior and His atoning death on a cruel Cross for the sins of the world. We faithfully observe Good Friday to focus on His sufferings and death, and on the Christ of the Cross who has brought us salvation and reconciliation to God.But we go further than the "stations of the Cross," important as they are. We see Our Lord in this passage (Colossians 1:15-20), not as the suffering Savior on the Cross, but as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the victorious One who has conquered sin, death, hell and the grave.
Could it be that this day you are fighting a battle with the enemy of your soul? Fear? Discouragement? Depression? Divorce? Crisis family situation? Open God's Word to Colossians 1:15-20, read it and rejoice; read it ALOUD so all the deviis in hell and hear it and tremble....The Cross has been exchanged for a Crown....and HE, our Crucified Savior and Risen Lord, reigns on high. HE, the majestic Christ, is King of Kings and Lord of all. We honor, love and praise Him today.
