"How to Handle the Scuffs of Life!"
Daily Manna's Bible reading: Philippians 4:4-9 (NIV)
I hate scrubbing, cleaning messed-up floors and furniture, walls, tiles and tubs. The cleansing process is painful - to my knees and nerves, my muscles and mind! The "cleaning lady" in me would rather rest and do SUDOKU puzzles, not floors and furniture...chuckle!Our household toil makes us weary, dreary and is never done....consoling thought, eh?? Now HIS cleansing works - far better than the household cleaners we use to remove the scuffs and stains on tiles and floors. In the "scuffs of life," amidst anxious, dire circumstances, even when wronged, we can know His peace and gentleness.
Does it really work? Does HE work? Yes, a thousand times, yes. His work "transcends all understanding." It addresses the sin-streak in all of us that, in crisis moments, produces negatives in full force - anxiety, anger, fear, depression. His cleansing, healing, purifying peace and power go to work; panic and pain leave.
So how do we handle the scuffs of life? On our knees! We bring them to the Cross, to the God of peace....a peace available to you and me only because of His death and resurrection 2000 years ago. God's marvelous peace will reign in our hearts as we allow His cleansing, healing process to have full control.
May His peace fill your heart as you face the scuffs of life this day and each day--and have a wonderful, joyful, choco-rich day!!
