Ever been to the Grand Canyon? The majesty and strength, the absolute breath-taking beauty of these rock formations, shout, "There is a God," and those rocks echo our voices, "And He is MINE!" There is love, peace, joy and gladness in the Rock of our salvation and in the depths of our soul.

Each evening the canyon grows dark, shadows lurk in its looming grandeur, mystery in its foreboding depth - all is changed; it is nighttime at "the rock." And so the grand canyon of our soul. In its depths can come the darkening, deadly shadows of depression, discouragement and despair. Fear, anxiety, hurt, doubt can all dwell there in mass confusion - in the dark - and what to do?

Look to the Rock of your salvation; let Him reign in the cavern of your soul, however dark and deep it may seem today. Remember, He is there - and the deeper the cavern, the deeper the grace.....You've found it so in the past - He wants you to find it so this day.

Believe it, receive it, let His love go deep into the cavern of your soul, trust His amazing, never-failing grace, and you will have a God-filled, Christ-conquering, choco-rich day!

PRAYER: "Lord, it's so dark and dreary in the canyon of my soul. Would you come deep within, dig out the darkness of hurt, anger, pain, discouragement - all that hides from others but not from You. Fill me with Your peace, be my Rock in the hard places of my life. Let me rise from the depths of despair to praise Your Name, in Jesus' Name, Amen."
