Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." So please join me for a few moments of fun, food and inspiration - it's all calorie-free (believe that and I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge) and might even make your day!

"A Thousand Generations!"

Today's Bible reading (International Bible Society): Psalm 105:1-8 (NIV) . . . Visit Bible Gateway for Verse of the Day!

Genealogists, beware - this one is much to heavy for even YOU! Look back in your family tree a thousand generations - then turn around and look forward in your family tree a thousand generations.....mind-boggling! God only knows the string of good guys and bad guys who came before us and will arrive after us - scary thought!

It's fun to trace your family history and find all sorts of surprises - and it might be fun to imagine the "thousand generations" to come after us. What will they look like? In what kind of world will they live? What will they wear? How will they get around? Will McDonald's hamburgers and See's chocolate and Kentucky Fried Chicken still be there?? Funny thoughts....

But there is one thing we know....."We know that our [Lord] liveth" through ALL generations - past, present and future. We tell of His wonders to kids and grandkids; we recall His help, His healing, His lifting heavy burdens for a lifetime of personal testimony - and so we should. We serve a great God who did "wondrous acts" in past generations, continues to this day, and on for a "thousand generations" should the Lord tarry.

Now how OLD would you be? And what would you LOOK like? Never mind - we'll be long gone, but while we are here, let's lift high His Name to the generations surrounding us! Be thankful, full of praise, telling of His marvelous grace to THIS generation - and you will have a wonderful, God-filled, choco-rich day!
