Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." So please join me for a few moments of fun, food and inspiration - it's all calorie-free (believe that and I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge) and might even make your day!

"Seedy People!?!"

Today's Bible reading (International Bible Society): Mark 4:15-20 (NIV)

OK, the title just turns you off, but don't hang up. Read today's Bible passage and then, unlike our usual interpretation of this well-known parable, pointing our theological finger to others outside the fold, let's poke that finger right into our own spiritual sternum and see what it says....

Christians "do" devotions - some, daily without fail - others on an inconsistent basis. Do we really DO the devotions or just READ them? Is this an intellectual process that goes no further than the cranium or do we let God sow His Living Word into our very being.....

Read the verses again - do I see ME there? Do you see YOU there? Which category of "seedy people" do we connect with....so now what do we do? Let's, by God's grace, be the "seedy people" who read, think, listen, CHEW and digest His Word until it becomes a very part of who we are....THAT way we will indeed have a God-filled, choco-rich day, "seedy people" that we are!!

PRAYER: "Lord, how often my Bible reading becomes a functional part of my day - something to check off the spiritual list. Forgive me - help me to open wide my hear so you can implant Thy Word deep into my life, so it becomes a part of who I am and Who I serve to every one I meet, in Jesus' Name, Amen."
