Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." So please join me for a few moments of fun, food and inspiration - it's all calorie-free (believe that and I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge) and might even make your day!

"Maker of the Sea!"

Today's Bible reading (International Bible Society): Psalm 95:1-7 (NIV)

I confess a passionate love for the sea....my grandpa was a fisherman off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, and I think I've got an overload of his DNA - so it's his fault, not mine!

"The sea is his, for he made it" - so says the Scriptures. And of course, we worship the majesty of our God and the works His hands has created - be it a calm, lovely blue sea or a tempestuous stormy wave - it is glorious and HE made it!

Now the sea of "my life" - that's different! - Or is it? The same God who made the seas of earth made you and is still in control of the sea of your life. Sometimes it is topsy-turvy and makes us sea-sick. Sometimes we surf and jump the waves with joy. Whatever the "weather" in that "sea-pot" you're in today, remember He is God of that sea and can speak "peace" to the waves that overwhelm you this day.

I love the sea - and I love the Lord of the sea....I know you do too, and we are all in His mighty hands. Let's believe it, dive deep into His love and know that no flood is ever greater than His love. "He sitteth King over the flood" - now, let's believe it, receive it, and we will all have a God-filled, overcoming, choco-rich day!

PRAYER: "Lord, I'm in the middle of the deep blue sea today and I need You. Please, Master of the sea and waves, speak peace to my spirit and soul; let Your Word, not the waves, flood my soul this day. I will sing to You for joy; You ARE my God and the captain of my boat - I am secure, in Jesus' Name, Amen."
