Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." So please join me for a few moments of fun, food and inspiration - it's all calorie-free (believe that and I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge) and might even make your day!

Bible Byte 'n Chocolate Chew for Today!
"Picky People!?!"
Today's Bible reading (International Bible Society): Mark 2:23-28 (NIV)

The disciples of the Lord picked a bit of grain on the Sabbath; the Pharisees picked the disciples apart for doing it - and the Lord resolved the issue. He was and is Lord of the Sabbath and He was OK with what His helpers did.
So who are the picky ones? Pharisees, look again - within yourselves. You're the problem; now listen as the Lord rebukes them - and smile - they got put in THEIR place, but good.
Uh....are YOU and I ever "picky?" We find fault with everything and everyone. We even think we've got good reason to be grouchy....bears that we can be, we can sometimes growl at the littlest things. We may as well admit it. The Lord of the Sabbath sees and hears us on Sundays and every other day of the week!
So what to do? Let's pick out some qualities we could use: more grace, more patience, more love, more understanding.....picky people that we are! He'll help us and give us understanding to see people as He sees them!
Now go prepare yourself to have a people-loving, non-picky day and watch - it will be a good one, choco-covered and all!
Prayer: "Lord, sometimes I'm picky when I should be patient. Sometimes I open my mouth and insert my foot, especially when I do not totally understand a situation or even all YOU are doing. Give me grace and patience to love people as you do, in Jesus' Name, Amen."
