Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." So please join me for a few moments of fun, food and inspiration - it's all calorie-free (believe that and I'll sell you the Brooklyn Bridge) and might even make your day!

OK, so a PEG is "wooden" - but not MINE! I've got a strong-willed, young-adult son who's like an IRON "peg" - pun intended, 'cause I guess I'm a strong-willed, though sometimes wooden, peg too....chuckle! Talk about sharpening iron-on-iron; this iron-clad kid keeps me sharp as I try to keep up with him.....AND as we both "stand tall" (he is 6'6" !!) in a wicked world.

His latest endeavor is a fun, YouTube site, joining the contemporary hot-flash of a young world gone wacko with digital technology. It's all there - the wild, the wicked and the wonderful, a hodge-podge of good and evil exploding into millions of videos "tubing" around the world. And he, my strong-willed, iron-clad son, is in the middle of it, belching, juggling, manipulating a Rubik's Cube and having good, clean fun.

So what does that have to do with me, the strong-willed "senior" mama who's not about to belch, juggle or solve a Rubik's Cube any time soon? I'm supposed to be sitting in a rocking chair, knitting, reading, and waiting for the Lord to come. Now all of that is good and honorable - but I'm not into acting however a senior is "supposed" to act....so guess what I just did...

I've entered the young adult world of "tubing" too, splashing and flashing (video, that is!), iron-clad (picture that one!), in this strange hi-tech world. Long sentence for an ex-editor, but I'm pumped, as the kids would say! I'm goin' with God, gusto and grace - HIS grace - as I hope to draw fallen people to a faithful God.

If you're over the 50-mark and bored with life, got an idea for you! Sharpen the peg and become an iron-clad Christian warrior God can use. Now go get yourself a YouTube site, stand tall and firm for the Gospel in creative, fun ways - and see what God will do. THAT is exactly what this "iron peg," clad in HIS armor, plans to do. I dare you - do it, and you'll have a wonderful, fun-filled, God-honoring, choco-rich day!
