Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...wherever in the world you live! I hear you're a chocoholic too - I won't tell a soul! Chocolate is good for the body - and God's Word is good for the soul: "O taste and see that the Lord is good...(Psalm 34:8 KJV)." "Left-handed Kid...Right-handed God!"
Daily Manna's Bible reading: Psalm 138:1-7(NIV)
Jason, our left-handed kid, is a rascal. He's used that creative left hand, at age two, to deviously drag the garden sprinkler into the family room and turn it on, full-force, resulting in a major mess. He's used that creative left hand to curiously cut into his brother's birthday present, at who knows WHAT age, seriously sending himself to the Emergency Room one New Year's Eve. He's now wearing a T-shirt that proudly says, "I'm left-handed and I'm always right!" What a delightful rascal our 23-year-old continues to be!Jason, our left-handed danger, chose, at an early age, to love and serve a right-handed God, whose Almighty Hand covers, protects and keeps him in line...much to Mama's relief! The stories she could tell - both frightful and funny - I'm sure God must have a special force of guardian angels to surround and follow that dear kid's every move!
Now you may NOT be left-handed but you're not "left behind!" You too have a God whose right hand is there - to hold, guard, guide, protect and sustain you at all times. The Lord's right hand "has done mighty things" and today we proclaim Him as our Lord and King. He is our strength and our song; He is our salvation and sustainer and we praise His Name!
Having a hard day? Reach out and take HIS hand today and you will have a wonderful, God-protected, God-guided, choco-rich day....Just watch out for the left-handed rascals trying to crook your left-over candy hearts...and by the way, I heard that polar bears are left-handed, so blame it on a polar bear and have a great day!!
