Salt and pepper, bread and butter (chocolate and strawberries, chocolate and cherries, chocolate and anything) ..... they all "fit" together, for sure....but what in the world do greed and grace have in common?
Nothing!
Greed? Been to Vegas where greed is the king and I've watched incredible scenes. Nickel machines teased little ladies, "Might win NEXT time," or "Might win AGAIN," - and the poor little ladies (pun intended) danced/spent the night away with these incredible money-making machines!
Grace? Been to church where grace is the king and I've watched incredible scenes. God offered no tease - just opportunity to give and bless His Name and His cause around the world. No coaxing necessary when God, not man and his manipulation, takes the offering!
Best sermons I've ever heard on giving - with or without an offering plate - and let me share them with you. Listen to Pastor Jim's 2-part message: "Begging to Give"" and "Giving to Give." It will be worth your time to listen!
Now take a chocolate break (surely you have left-over chocolate from Mother's Day) and return to listen to Dr. George Wood's incredible sermon on "Grace." You'll be blessed - and will choose grace over greed any day! Have a great, godly, gamble-free, choco-rich day!
